The Protasiv Yar Ski Complex, Kyiv’s first ski resort, opened in 1998. Located in the city center, it has become a popular spot for active recreation among Kyiv residents and visitors.
Protasiv Yar serves as a training base for Ukraine’s national alpine skiing and snowboarding teams and hosts national and international competitions in these sports. It also operates as an educational and training center for Kyiv’s children’s and youth sports schools and offers a venue for themed celebrations and corporate events.
In 2024, the Protasiv Yar complex launched Bikepark Protas, catering to mountain biking enthusiasts during the warmer months. Developed in partnership with professional riders Bohdan Pogasiy and Roman Vabishchevich, this project provides infrastructure to support the growth of extreme sports disciplines, including MTB, in Ukraine.
